Oct 1991 to Feb 1992 Agricultural Engineer -
USDA Soil Conservation Service Lake City, FL
Assisted in the design of dairy waste management systems, storm water drainage systems, and tailwater recovery systems. Assisted in obtaining industrial waste water and storm water permits for these facilities from the Florida Division of Environmental Regulation. Designs employed CAD and SCS-developed design software. Acquired valuable experience concerning the procedural, political, and technical aspects of working with this agency during graduate school.

Masstock Southern Dairy Farms Montezuma, GA
Responsible for all engineering phases of the operation including waste management, construction, environmental permitting and monitoring, and repair and maintenance for one of the largest dairy operations in the Southeastern US with more than 8,000 animals.

Worked on all levels, from initiation, design, and production, through bidding and construction, of agricultural research facility projects for 17 research farms and 21 campus departments throughout the state of Louisiana.
